The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce presented the Fifth Annual Festival on the Bay August 17, 18 and 19 in Petoskey, Michigan. Music lovers enjoyed an extensive slate of live performances, children played at our Children’s Area and everyone enjoyed the street performances during the Sunset on the Bay. Food lovers ate well all weekend along the festival promenade and especially at Sunday’s Taste of Bay Harbor. Athletes were able to test their skills at this year's first Volleyball Tournament, at the Triathlon and Duathlon or by boat in the Jiimaan Challenge. The festival is truly a celebration of Little Traverse Bay! |

Celebration of the Sunset |

The Million Dollar Sunset on Friday night of Petoskey’s Festival on the Bay was sandwiched between two other premier performances as part of the festival’s nightly Celebration of the Sunset.
- 8:00 p.m. - Petoskey High School Steel Drum Band performed for an overwhelming crowd near the Entertainment Tent.
- 9:45 p.m. - Petoskey Stars & Stripes Committee and Melrose Pyrotechnics presented a spectacular Fireworks display over Little Traverse Bay soon after sunset. The fireworks display was provided as a “make-up” show after a fog over the bay clouded the view of the 4th of July fireworks.
